David Archuleta will release his self-titled album "David Archuleta" on 11 November (tentative) which I find odd because he's gonna release the album before David Cook. I don't think this date is credible though. Yeah. Ok. Never mind. It's confirmed it will be released before David Cook's album. Hmph. The battle of the Davids. And David Archuleta wants a 'Miley Touch' in the album. Damn, he should work with other stars.
Tentative Tracks:
1. Crush 2. My Hands 3. Touch My Hand 4. A Little Too Not Over You
Crush
[10/10]
This song rocks to the core. You never get bored listening to this song. I can't put a better quality video cos most of the videos have embeded codes disabled due to request which I've no idea why. Anyway, the song has got a really good tune that leaves you really addicted and the song speaks a lot to those who are in love/falling in love/left in love and whatever. xD. It has outsold David Cook's first single (I'm not sure 'Time Of My Life' or 'Lights On' and has been the first time this happens in the Idol history.
Season 7th American Idol Winner David Cook will be releasing his (not so) debut album on 18 November in the United States. He actually has another album done before American Idol called "Analog Heart" but he removed it from the website when he entered American Idol. However, somehow or someone got it up the internet and some of the songs became instant hits.
I'll do a proper review when it's out. Hope it's good.
Track Listing:
1. Declaration 2. Heroes 3. Light On (This is his 1st single) 4. Come Back to Me 5. Life on the Moon 6. Bar-ba-sol 7. Mr. Sensitive 8. Lie 9. I Did It for You 10. Avalanche 11. Permanent 12. A Daily Anthem
BONUS TRACKS 1. Time Of My Life 2. My Last Request (Itunes Pre-Order)
Pink set to release her 5th studio album "Funhouse" on October 24 in North America. However, you can find the album in the internet. To be honest, I'm a bit bias. HAHA. I love her voice cos it's really unique so don't blame me if I give a good review. xD.
The album's packed with a whooping 12 tracks with additional 2 tracks in the international region which confirms gives you a good time listening to this album.
PS. She wanted to name her album "Heartbreak is a Motherfucker" xD. But her record was worried the sales won't go right with the vulgarities. HAHA. The whole album circles around her divorce with her husband, Carey Hart.
1. So What 2. Sober 3. I don't believe You 4. One Foot Wrong 5. Please Don't Leave Me 6. Bad Influence 7. Funhouse 8. Crystal Ball 9. Mean 10. It's All Your Fault 11. Ave Mary A 12. Glitter In The Air 13. This Is How It Goes Down (International Bonus Track) 14. Could've Had Everything (So What B-Side) (Bonus Track)
So What
[10/10]
A rocking single definitely. Catchy. Nice vocals that totally suit the song. Self explanatory. I can't embed the official video so here's the one from her World Premiere.
Someone tell me why she has such good vocals. This song doesn't match up with "So What" but I guess it's a slower song so I think she's done a good job for this. Can't seem to match up to "Who Knew" also. If you know that Kelly Clarkson also has a song called "Sober", Pink's one is so much better. This is her 2nd single I just realised.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- I Don't Believe You
[6/10]
I didn't hear the full song cos it's not loading. I'm not sure about the chorus but the starting wasn't good enough to make an impact. The guitar strumming was good though.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- One Foot Wrong
[4/10]
According to Pink, the song is also about losing control and how easy it is to lose the plot in life and teeter on the edge, according to Pink. Not my type of song. =.=" -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please Don't Leave Me
[8/10]
The background "Da Da Da Da" is actually really nice. This song reminds me of "Who Knew" but in a different style. This song was written more or less about her divorce.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Bad Influence
[8/10]
Not a very nice song. But I still like it. It's sexual, sensual and fun! And that's what a song should be FUN. Doesn't mean it must be sexual to be nice but we all know that Pink has hidden meanings in her song so I think this song's something expected.
Does the song remind you of another song? I can't remember what it is. But its quite nice for a slow song that she attempts. I think she should stick to songs like "U + Ur Hand" and "Who Knew" rather than this kind. But applaud her for the effort though.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Mean
[7/10]
Gosh. She sounds so much like Kelly Clarkson. T.T Not exactly her type of song like "Crystal Ball".
-------------------------------------------------------------------- It's All Your Fault
[8/10]
Finally something of better standard. =) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ave Mary A
[9/10]
Damn. This song's good. Haha. The starting just punches you. Like WOAH! xD.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Glitter In The Air
[4/10]
Urgh.
Overall. I think her album has made the cut but not as good as the previous ones.
JJ Lin Jun Jie has released his 8th album "Sixology 陸" that encompasses the "It's Your Choice" thinggy that he seems to be spreading. Adding on to that, he does a whole new outlook to the whole style he has with checkered shirt and hat. A different trend and style he sets.
I wonder whether his music's different? Haven't actually heard it yet but Ill try to squeeze time to do a reiview.
The recent spate of depression cases together with a high suicide rate amongst the Entertainment Circle in Korea has caught much attention and Rain has been one of them. According to him, during the time when he was in Hollywood filing in a movie and recording his album/songs, due to the long period of time in an unfamiliar area, he unknowingly got depressed.
Rain said: “This is something that I’ve never experienced before. If I am alone in a confined space or in the midst of a lot of people, I’ll experience breathlessness and will try to breathe in very deeply.” Adding on to that, he had to film a lift scene in the movie “Ninja Assassin” for more than 2 hours and that left him with Altophobia and Claustrophobia
Rain mentioned that artists do not need to hide the fact that they have depression. He added: “I had to be very determined to overcome this problem. Giving up meant letting down on my fans.”
He also added on that during the 3 months of earning of more than $1500000, he said that it was not the money earned that was important but to let the world know about Korean actors and to do Korea proud.
Britney Spears "Womanizer" Music Video is out people.
And it's HOT!
To be honest, I didn't really like the song but after the video, OMGosh. Like wth, it is freakinf nice. Much better than "Gimme More" and a great comeback after "Blackout". She strips for the Music Video but in a decent way. Her sensual and sexual ways are potrayed here but not as bad as previous album "Blackout".
Great job Britney!
I'll be doing her review of her album. Can't wait!
"Human" is the 5th album of American R&B artist Brandy. The album has not been released and the tracks have also not been confirmed.
Suggested Track Listing:
1. Right Here (Departed) 2. Long Distance 3. Torn Down 4. Fall 5. Locked in Love 6. The Definition 7. Camouflage 8. Shattered Heart 9. Piano Man" 10. Warm It Up with Love 11. Acapella 12. True 13. After the Flood
Her first single "Right Here (Departed)" was found in her official website on August 23. I can't seem to find any embed code cos it has been disabled on YouTube so view it here.
[9/10]
Very good song to be her first single. The vocals are being brought to a very high level with her attempting all the strong notes of the song. Something that is very nice to the ears. =) Anyway, the video looks a little pointless with her "movements" but yeah, according to the company, the song's about being there for a loved one, friends or family. Meaningful. Me Like. xD
I don't know if an album of REMIXED VERSION of "Right Here (Departed) is released but I'll review it anyway.
1. Right Here (Departed) (Seamus Haji & Paul Emanuel Club Mix)
[6/10]
The starting's too irritating. However the "slowed" version of the verses and chorus is not bad. A different tune. BUT it got worse towards the end. Too loud-ish.
2. Right Here (Departed) (Moto Blanco Club Mix)
[8/10]
Faster. Upbeat. Nice. =)
3. Right Here (Departed) (Mad Decent Right Mad Mix)
[7/10]
It has it's fast and slow periods but repetative parts are kinda irritaing.
4. Right Here (Departed) (Seamus Haji & Emanuel Radio Edit)
[6.5/10]
Same. Just that I feel there's a slight difference though.
5. Right Here (Departed) (Moto Blanco Radio Edit)
[/10] 6. Right Here (Departed) (Seamus & Manuel Dub Mix)
[5/10]
The start ruins everything. It's a start that you don't feel like listening to the songs even though the behind sounds decent enough.
7. Right Here (Departed) (Moto Blanco Dub Mix)
[6/10]
Bleh. The more I hear the remixes, I kinda get more annoyed. =.="
Long Distance
[7/10]
Her 2nd single. Not as good as her 1st but worth a listen.
I had the "honour" to go out with the gang out to Marina Square to watch "The House Bunny" starring Anna Farris. Together with the "bimbo", the show also stars Anna Faris, Colin Hanks, Emma Stone, Katharine McPhee, Rumer Willis, Dana Goodman, Kiely Williams, Tyson Ritter, and Kat Dennings. Yep. The familiar people, Colin Hanks, eldest son of Tom Hanks, Katharine McPhee (who plays the pregnant woman) whose from American Idol.
Anyway, here's my rating for the movie
[7/10]
FYI, my sister watched the show! Like can you believe it??!
Anyway, the show starts off not exactly THAT exlilarating and everything. But Playboy Mansion? Haha. It's a good idea though.
We move on the story with the bimbotic plot of Shelley (Anna Faris) who has to move out of the flat because she's 27 (in bunny years 59). So she moves out and tries to find a house. She ends up staying in a place called the "Zeta" where all the not-so-pretty girls are. Emma Stone was hot even before she changed.
Yes. So Shelley goes on an "adventure" to save the house and its members by wanting to recruit 30 more applicants. But things start to go wrong when the antagonist, whom we all know is usually blond (in most movies) starts to plot against her. What's more, Shelley gets a crush.
And the songs they use like "Take A Bow", "Girlfriend" etc blends in very well to the movie.
I'm not going to review the whole movie but this show is something you might wanna catch if you run out of options. Though I think getting it on CD/DVD release would also be as good as wacthing it in the cinemas.
PS: Don't say I didn't say about her revealing her butt to the audience. LOL.
I was wondering who the pregnant lady was until the ending when she started singing did I realised that she was Katharine McPhee. Haha. So here's one of the songs she sang for the movie. Oh wait, there's only one.
I Know What Boys Like (Katharine McPhee ft. Cast of House Bunny)
[4/10]
Definitely not a very good song for a movie. It's VERY boring. =.="
Following the successes of 2 High School Musical films made and shown on screen of Disney Channel, High School Musical 3: Senior Year comes back this time bigger, bolder and better. This time, rather than on Disney, it will be on CINEMAS. How cool can that get? Better graphics, visual, screen and close up on the hot people acting. HAHA. Yeah. So gonna catch it.
High School Musical 3: Senior Year Soundtrack is released on Hong Kong on 15 October while the official release will be on 21 October in United States. However, if you are really tempted to get the songs, you can get it here.
Track Listing: 1. Now or Never [Cast] 2. Right Here, Right Now [Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens] 3. I Want It All [Ashley Tisdale & Lucas Grabeel] 4. Can I Have This Dance [Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens] 5. A Night to Remember [Cast] 6. Just Wanna Be With You [Lucas Grabeel, Olesya Rulin, Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens] 7. The Boys Are Back [Zac Efron & Corbin Bleu] 8. Walk Away [Vanessa Hudgens] 9. Scream [Zac Efron] 10. Senior Year Spring Musical Medley [Cast] 11. We're All in This Together (Graduation Mix) [Cast] 12. High School Musical [Cast] 13. Just Getting Started [Stan Carrizosa, winner of Get in the Picture] 14. Last Chance [Cast]
Now Or Never
[8/10]
Addictive. But I kinda find it weird to release this as the first single even though it incorporates all the singers from the cast. Remember "What Time Is It?" from the previous single? Yeah. This song's not bad though there's a lot of extra part where you hear Zac Efron breathing very deeply, panting, then cheer leaders from East High and West High. And most of the time, you hear Zac Efron all the time. =.="
Right Here, Right Now
[7/10]
It's not as good as the previous songs from HSM 1 "Start of Starting New", "Breaking Free" but better than HSM 2's "Everyday". Nonetheless, it exceeds my expectations. This was released as the album's 4th single.
I Want It All
[7.5/10]
BIMBO ALERT. Haha. Yes, Ashley Tisdale never changes her character in HSM3. Actually, she's quite hilarious in "The Suite Life of Zac and Cody". HAHA. The starting part resembles "Fabulous" from HSM 2 Soundtrack and is not really nice. But her vocals for the chorus is really good and the whole song's very upbeat and everything in it. I find this song even better than the duet by Zac and Vanessa. Lucas Grabeel voice is very common on the otherhand, it's just ok only. This song released as the 2nd single.
Can I Have This Dance?
[9.5/10]
FINALLY! The kind of song that I'm expecting Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens to sing. This is so much better lah! This was released as a promotional single. Anyway, Vanessa starts of the song with the right notes and background vocals from Zac Efron complements it. This happens vice versa in the second part. And the chorus, yes, melodic, FLAWLESS! Haha. Superb performance lovebirds! Haha. =)
------------------------------------------------------------------- A Night To Remember
[7/10]
Great song by the cast. Tempo-ic. Rythmic. Me like. Haha. xD. Btw, this is their 3rd single.
------------------------------------------------------------------- Just Wanna Be With You
[7/10]
The starting's too slow. But when it goes into the chorus part, it sounds better. Good music combination together with the lyrics and voices. Luckily they didn't ask Ashley Tisdale to sing this. She can't sing this kind of songs. >,< color="#ff6600">The Boys Are Back
[7/10]
Corny as the title may seem, the song is not bad but not the kind of song that you will get addicted to. It's way better than HSM 2's version of the boys singing "I Don't Dance". To think of the song now, it sounds kinda gay. >,< color="#ff6600">Walk Away
[6/10]
Bleh. I hate this kind of starting. OK. It's not really nice. The standard kinda dropped a lot from "Gotta Go My Own Way"
On the other hand, Zac Efron's solo song is much nicer than Vanessa's. Really good and fast paced song that catches attention of the people. He should start a solo career with this kind of songs.
I wanted to the review for the album "RED CLIFF~心・戦~" which was released on 15 October. But I heard the songs, don't understand so I don't think it'll be a fair description of it. But just to let you people know, you can visit Seirou again for the review. HAHA.
Track Listing:
CD 1. RED CLIFF ~Shin·Sen~ (RED CLIFF ~心・戦~; Heart, War) 2. Xin·Zhan ~RED CLIFF~ (心・戦 ~RED CLIFF~; Heart, War) 3. Ashita e no Sanka ~Orchestral version~ (明日への讃歌; A Hymn For Tomorrow) 4. RED CLIFF ~Shin·Sen~ (Instrumental) 5. Ashita e no Sanka ~Orchestral version~ (Instrumental)
DVD 1. RED CLIFF ~Shin·Sen~ (Music Clip) 2. Bonus Movie
Nope. We're not talking about the Movie Show "Happily Never After" but song "Happily Never After" by both the Pussycat Dolls and Backstreet Boys. The track was co-written by Ne-Yo for the Pussycat Dolls. I'm not sure how Backstreet Boys got the song but the point of this post is a comparison of both attempts at the song.
I heard this song first time on a good friend's phone. It was the Backstreet Boys version and I feel in love with it almost immediately. I didn't know there was 2 versions though.
Happily Never After (Pussycat Dolls Version)
[7/10]
I don't know whose the one singing but I guess Nicole Scherzinger cos she's the only with a good voice in Pussycat Dolls. Her vocals aren't that good compared to Backstreet Boys when it comes to this song. And the part when the other dolls come into the song, acting extra with their voices, I think the songs kinda downgrades? But Nicole's voice is suited for this song on love and everything and you actually feel that the song tells a story.
Happily Never After (Backstreet Boys)
I grew up listening to Backstreet Boys and without a doubt, their vocals are still good after so many years. At least their songs they come up with are decent unlike "New Kids On The Block" who tries a kinky version of "Summertime" music video. Anyway, the background singing by the other members are so much better compared to "Pussycat Dolls" as it complements whoever is singing.
You get mixed voices of different members for different parts of the song and it sounds like a fresh verse.
I think Backstreet Boys wins for their version of the song cos it sounds mature and sleek to the ears. But I hope those who wanna listen to the song, get both versions into your MP3 or IPOD or PHONE cos it speaks a really cool story.
English Piano Rock Band Keane released their 3rd album "Perfect Symmetry". It was supposed to be released on October 13 but it can on the internet early after it was leaked out around October 5 or 6. According to the band and manager, they mentioned that this will be a totally different "genre" from their previous album. Their first full single will be released on October 20 which will be "The Lovers Are Losing".
I think most of you should have heard Spiralling on the radio by now but it isn't their official single. It was available for download from Keane Music as a digital download single. It peaked at No.1 for UK Airplay Chart.
Track Listing:
1. Spiralling* 2. The Lovers Are Losing* 3. Better Than This 4. You Haven't Told Me Anything 5. Perfect Symmetry* 6. You Don't See Me 7. Again and Again* 8. Playing Along 9. Pretend That You're Alone 10. Black Burning Heart* 11. Love Is the End 12. My Shadow (Bonus track on Japanese edition & pre-order track on iTunes UK)
Starts off really well though the part where they go "Oh... Oh... Oh..." sounds kinda out of place. Listen to the lyrics. The vocals match up very well to the background music that plays. I think its "radio-friendly".
----------------------------------------------------------- The Lovers Are Loving
[7.5/10]
A good choice for a single. Likewise, sleek vocals and music.
----------------------------------------------------------- Better Than This
[3/10]
Eww. The song starts off so suddenly and the high pitch singing is horrible.
----------------------------------------------------------- You Haven't Told Me Anything
Great song. I think this should be their 1st single though. But if they do release another single, this should be a good song. Something like "Spiralling", same style, just that more catchy and "singable".
----------------------------------------------------------- You Don't See Me
[6/10]
The whole song's quite good except the parts when the lead singers goes high pitched and everything which spoils the whole flow of music.
----------------------------------------------------------- Again & Again
[8/10]
Another good song. They can also use this for a single. The starting's something that makes you wanna listen on to what the song has to offer. And the lead singer doesn't attempt any high pitched notes so its good. Haha.
----------------------------------------------------------- Playing Along
[4/10]
Too slow for my liking. I thought the chorus will go faster but it didn't. The song is kinda disappointing compared to the others.
----------------------------------------------------------- Pretend That You're Alone
[7/10]
It sounded a bit like "7 Things" at the start. Just a tat bit. Haha. The lyrics are kinda funny but it makes sense and it's groovy. Haha. LOL. And "pretend to be alone". Makes you wonder why you actually want to try being alone when you have friends around you. xD.
----------------------------------------------------------- Black Burning Heart
[8/10]
Another good song. Burning heart and black? It makes no sense haha but it's a different heartbroken song that appeals to one's ears.
----------------------------------------------------------- Love Is The End
[3/10]
Even slower than "Playing Alone". Yuck.
The whole album does prove itself to be a good one which quite a number of songs that are worth listening to. But I won't bet on myself to remember much of the songs cos the vocals and my liking for the music doesn't match. It's not my type. =.="
My recommendation: Don't buy the album but remember to get the certain songs you like. It'll be worth it.
Rain releases his song "Love Story" featuring Ha Ji Won in the Music Video directed. Try to decipher what the Music Video says cos I don't understand a single shit. All I know is the girl's a prostitute while the guy's a gangster. Plus I don't learn Japanese. >,<
Love Story
[7/10]
The video's really stupid I guess. There's seriously no meaning behind it. Like there's no link or anything. And the ending is so abrupt, leaving me dazed. Apart from that, his comeback with this song after his 4th album "Eternal World" seems quite sudden. But reports of him still do come quite often, some on his musical progress, some on his fitness "regime" he does with American Gym Instuctors.
The song's got a nice tune to it. Flows really well but comparing his vocals to Tae Yang, the latter wins.
But I can't judge like that though. Cos I'm not exposed to JPop and KPop music so I might do the review on his next full length album.
PS. TABOO by Koda Kumi is nice. Haha. Read Seirou! =)
Jay Chou releases his 9th studio album "Capricon"/"魔杰座". This album is based on his current interest in socery. Ok weird?! Anyway, his 1st single I mentioned earlier was "Fragrant Rice"/"稻香" and his 2nd single "说好的幸福呢"/"Where Is The Happiness We Agreed On (ft. Chen Kuang Yi 陳匡怡)" will be released soon together with a Music Video that will be directed by him. This album was supposed to be released on 14 October 2008 but it leaked into the internet earlier.
Track Listing:
01 龙战骑士 Dragon Warrior 02 给我一首歌的时间 Give Me The Time For a Song* 03 蛇舞 Snake Dance 04 花海 Ocean of Flowers* 05 魔术先生 Mr. Magic* 06 说好的幸福呢 Where Is The Happiness We Agreed On* (ft. Chen Kuang Yi 陳匡怡) 07 兰亭序 Orchid Pavillion* 08 流浪诗人 Homeless Poet 09 时光机 Time Machine* 10 乔克叔叔 Uncle Joker 11 稻香 Fragrant Rice
I loved the starting music that leads us into the song. But I don't like his rapping/voice. Overall, the music flows well though.
---------------------------------------------------------- 给我一首歌的时间 Give Me The Time For a Song
[7.5/10]
Nice love song by him. Definitely a MUST-HEAR. But don't say I didn't warn you about his not-so-good vocals and rapping. >,< ---------------------------------------------------------- 蛇舞 Snake Dance
[4/10]
I think this ones a very slip shot work done. The starting as usual was flawless with the musical tones and everything, but he starts the song with a rap part and some girl (whom I don't know) who sings like a mouse? Yeah. Don't like it.
I ADORE THIS SONG. Haha. His vocals totally matched man. Dude, I told you people he can write songs, not really sing the songs. "Ocean Of Flowers", that's one damn cool name. And the piano with the guitars, drums and everything, totally makes this song like an instant hit. This is definetly going into my MP3. Haha.
---------------------------------------------------------- 魔术先生 Mr. Magic
[8/10]
The 1st part of talking of the song is really pointless. And this style is totally different from his other albums and very unique. Which makes it DAMN GOOD! Haha. He should stick to this kind of singing of fast songs rather than rapping cos he's rapping really sucks. He sounds like Gary Chaw here.
说好的幸福呢 Where Is The Happiness We Agreed On (ft. Chen Kuang Yi 陳匡怡)
[9.5/10]
Flawless. I can't hear the girl singing though. =.=" But this song makes the whole album like worth it. Great vocals, great lyrics, great music. This love song is one high standard! =) On a second note, I don't know if he's gonna do the duet though. xD. Still, this song is rocking awesome!
Not the best slow song but still very nice. =) And the "opera" part is very extra. =.=" ---------------------------------------------------------- 流浪诗人 Homeless Poet
[5/10]
Is there another singer in the song? I think so. But I don't think this is a nice track. Very simple, vocals suck here. Ok. Confirmed. There's another singer but it doesn't make it sound nicer. ----------------------------------------------------------
时光机 Time Machine
[9/10]
Very nice. Very nice. Very nice. Nice melodious flow that makes this song like super nice to hear. Addictive track. ---------------------------------------------------------- 乔克叔叔 Uncle Joker
[6/10]
Rap. Hate it. But the music's nice. ---------------------------------------------------------- 稻香 Fragrant Rice
Overall, his album is *surprisingly good*. I'll be frank with you. I was actually biased against him cos he gives this really boring look and his voice sounds like a monotonous bug. His voice still is, but I think I can relate to the songs in a different way and perspective. Ok. If my father comments on your singing or what, I'm going to back you up. HAHA. My dad hates Jay Chou (and a lot of modern singers). HAHA.
And I've to credit this Jay Chou 'fever' to a certain good friend of mine. As he described it, it was "f %*$ing nice" so I decided to risk my ears to listen. The whole album turned out to be a really good one.
For hard-core Jay Chou fans or those starting to like him, you might want to get this. It's worth your money for both the songs and the "extravagent" layout and album cover.
John Legend releases his 3rd album on 9 October 2008. The album was scheduled to be released on 28 October but it leaked on mentioned date. His collaborations include power packed singers like Kanye West, Brandy, Andre 3000 and Estelle.

*-Recommended Tracks
Green Light (ft. André 3000)
[7/10]
This is his first single. I think it's one of the better songs in the album.
Brandy does NO HELP to savage the song. >,< ------------------------------------------------------------- Cross The Line
[7.5/10]
I think this might be the nicest track that I can find in the whole album. His voice match the lyrics and tune.
------------------------------------------------------------- No Other Love (ft. Estelle)
[4/10]
Remember American Boy? Yeah. She's the singer and he's the loser in the song. >,< Wait. I don't make sense.
------------------------------------------------------------- This Time
[8/10]
FINALLY. Something decent. It reminds me of "Finally" by Fergie. Ballard? I can say that for this song. The piano complements really well with his voice. Much much much better than the other songs. And the lyrics are really meaningful. ------------------------------------------------------------- Satisfaction
[4.5/10]
Mundane. Like the other songs. ------------------------------------------------------------- Take Me Away
[3/10]
The starting sucks. He goes "La La La La"... >,< ------------------------------------------------------------- Good Morning
[3/10]
What is the point of this song??? =/ ------------------------------------------------------------- I Love, You Love
[2/10]
I think this is the worse song. Really boring. ------------------------------------------------------------- If You're Out There
[5/10]
I can't say if I love this song or not. Decide for yourself. ------------------------------------------------------------- Can't Be My Lover (Bonus Track)
[6.5/10]
There's a nice tempo to it. Haha. ------------------------------------------------------------- It's Over (Teddy Riley Remix) (Bonus Track)
[7/10]
This version is even better than the one featuring Kanye West.
Overall, I don't really like his vocals. It's too mundane? And I don't think I gave a really fair assessment of this album cos it was really rushed and everything. But it's not worth your money unless you really like his voice. It's not my liking.
Jay Chou's new album "魔杰座" or in English "Capricorn" is scheduled to be released in Singapore on 15th November which happens to be the end of my exams. Hooray! xD. Anyway, his 9th Studio album has already have pre-order "products" on most of the music stores in Singapore like Popular etc. I actually like the cover a lot cos it's really cool. Seriously.
The track listing has not been confirmed but this is his first single is "稻香" or "Fragrance Rice/Paddy Fragrance" or whatever you call it is out already.
稻香
[7/10]
Most of you know I'm not a big fan of Jay Chou, or the least his singing. As usual, his singing doesn't really match up to other singers but I've to commend on his lyrics. His got this apt for writing really inspirational tracks or songs that has a lot of meaning.
This song in praticular, flows very well throughout and has a very upbeat tempo to it. Not exactly addictive but pleasing to the ears though. For once, I actually want to see what are the songs that he's gonna come up with in his 9th album.
I'll do a full review after I borrow the disc from my good friend. Haha. Promise. And I'll do it also on the S.H.E "FM"/"我的電台" album.
Jennifer Hudson releases her debut album after being kicked out of the 3rd Season of American Idol. The self-titled album "Jennifer Hudson" was released on 30 Septmeber and included songs pen by famours artists like Ne-Yo and Stargate etc. Some of her songs she sang were together with even more famous singers like Ludacris and T-Pain.
Following her exit from American Idol, she has risen from rags-to-riches with an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe Award for her acting career in "Dreamgirls". Now who said "losers" couldn't win big?

Instant classic. Groovy and a unique way of music that has been brought to the scene. For her debut album, coming up with this kind of songs will make it a really good hit. Together with her voice, "they" will be unstoppable.
And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going

It's not my type of songs. But it reminds people of her American Idol journey. Her vocals are power-packed in the song.
There's about 14 songs in her album and even bonuses for different countries. I can't do them all partly because I'm very hungry and want to go for my dinner (xD.) and it will take a really long time. HAHA.
JJ Lin Jun Jie (林俊傑) will be releasing his 6th album "Sixology 陸" on 18 October 2008. So far, he has only has one song that is being played on air which is a duet with Asa (蔡卓妍) from Twins. The song title is "Dimples" and in chinese, 小酒窝.
The album will be a much more fun one compared to the previuos album "West Side" which was a much darker side of him. I can't find the cover of the album but he's dressed in a purple checkered shirt which also a checkered hat. On 100% Entertainment, he says that this album is more upbeat with the faster beats songs to be more "danceable" and where people can groove to it. The love songs, are very much similar.
Try visiting his website for more details but don't say I never say it in Chinese. LOL. xD.

I very much expected the same type of duet songs he has colaborated with other artists like Jin Sha (金沙) but the songs he sang with 金沙 is much better than this one. Same melody flow but the previous duets has more tune and much soothing to the ear.
Once again, album released on 18 Oct. I think it'll be a hit also, better than "West Side" but may not be as good as before. On a note, the theme seems to go around "The Choice Is Yours" from what I've gathered on 100% Entertainment. All JJ fans watch out!
Beyonce Knowles is scheduled to release her third studio album "I Am..." on 18 November 2008. (Not confirmed.) The first 2 songs that were scheduled to be released on 7 October was only released a day later. The Music Video for "If I were A Boy" is being made as we speak.
If I Were A Boy

Following her hit "Irreplacable" in 2006, she released a few more albums but they were more of Karoke hits and everything. I think the song cannot match up to "Irreplacable". This song has its own style. At the start, it sounds like Natasha Bedingfield combined with Shakira and its kinda boring. But she brings it up as notch with the chorus and once again, we can hear her unique voice very clearly. But its not something that I'm going to remember.
Lyrics are meaningful though.
Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)

Urgh. I find this song irritating. A far cry from "If I Were A Boy".
Sports Unwind: My predictions! (PS. See if I'm accurate enough. HAHA.)

Portfolio: Name: 동영배 Dong Yong Bae Stage Name: Tae Yang aka Sol Age: 20
I won't go into the details of his blood group, birthday and everything. Haha. But he's only 56Kg! And he's freaking built!
Hot is the first solo mini-album that is released by Tae Yang on 22 May 2008. (Yeah I know I'm slow.) He is also the first member from the Korean Band, Big Bang to release a solo album.
Track Listing: 1. Hot-Intro 2. Prayer ft. Teddy 3. Look Only at Me 4. Sinner 5. Baby I'm Sorry 6. Make Love ft. Kush
If I'm not wrong, the first song that was released was Look Only At Me.
Look Only At Me
[8.5/10]
I don't like the starting when he sounds like he's whining. But the music video just made the song a notch higher. There's actually real meaning behind the song if you looked at the English translation but he's vocals flow smoothly through the song. And the dancing is superb.
Prayer ft. Teddy
[10/10]
Instant Classic. This was the song I was addicted to. Look at the video at 1.43. He's got the cool techno-dance thinggy on. On the other hand, I think too many singers are going topless to attract people. The video's good with the dance and everything but I think people should follow the music rather than how the person looks. Look at the YouTube comments given and they are filled with so many sexual comments. =/
And I don't like the rapping part. It sounds very extra.
Hot-Intro

Short and Sweet. Nice.
Sinner
[7/10]
Not really my type of song but it still has a catchy tune that you can groove too. But its not something that you will really get addicted to.
Baby I'm Sorry
[9/10]
Another love song that has a great feel to it. Tae Yang did a fantastic job making this song sound like a really apologetic yet love-sick song. A song you should listen to.
Make Love ft. Kush
[8/10]
Great track. Great tune.
On the whole, this album is worth buying. If it is released in Singapore that is. It's a great debut solo mini-album for Tae Yang and if he continues to produce albums of this quality, he's gonna be as famous as rain. And he sounds really good when singing live also!
He used to be a rapper but has become a lead vocalist for his band, Big Bang. I'll review the band in time to come. No worries.
Oh. I just want to add more catgories for my reviews.

Right Now. It's Gossip Girl I'm watching. And please comment!
Haha. I can't resist to post here and I don't know why. Lol.
Well. A note before my official post. I'm not really good at all the HTML codes and everything so pardon me about the layout and stuff. The blog's kinda boring now with its current layout. And a disclaimer: My posts won't contain any downloaded stuff. I can't risk getting caught. And they are opinions from me. So I hope you guys give positive comments/criticism and not deflamatory (sp?) stuff.
Thanks!
Here's what you can look forward to!
