EPop Band Unwind: Keane

English Piano Rock Band Keane released their 3rd album "Perfect Symmetry". It was supposed to be released on October 13 but it can on the internet early after it was leaked out around October 5 or 6. According to the band and manager, they mentioned that this will be a totally different "genre" from their previous album. Their first full single will be released on October 20 which will be "The Lovers Are Losing".

I think most of you should have heard Spiralling on the radio by now but it isn't their official single. It was available for download from Keane Music as a digital download single. It peaked at No.1 for UK Airplay Chart.

Spiralling

Starts off really well though the part where they go "Oh... Oh... Oh..." sounds kinda out of place. Listen to the lyrics. The vocals match up very well to the background music that plays. I think its "radio-friendly".

Great song. I think this should be their 1st single though. But if they do release another single, this should be a good song. Something like "Spiralling", same style, just that more catchy and "singable".

The whole song's quite good except the parts when the lead singers goes high pitched and everything which spoils the whole flow of music.

Another good song. They can also use this for a single. The starting's something that makes you wanna listen on to what the song has to offer. And the lead singer doesn't attempt any high pitched notes so its good. Haha.

Too slow for my liking. I thought the chorus will go faster but it didn't. The song is kinda disappointing compared to the others.

It sounded a bit like "7 Things" at the start. Just a tat bit. Haha. The lyrics are kinda funny but it makes sense and it's groovy. Haha. LOL. And "pretend to be alone". Makes you wonder why you actually want to try being alone when you have friends around you. xD.

Another good song. Burning heart and black? It makes no sense haha but it's a different heartbroken song that appeals to one's ears.

Even slower than "Playing Alone". Yuck.

The whole album does prove itself to be a good one which quite a number of songs that are worth listening to. But I won't bet on myself to remember much of the songs cos the vocals and my liking for the music doesn't match. It's not my type. =.="

My recommendation: Don't buy the album but remember to get the certain songs you like. It'll be worth it.
